Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was just 14 years old. Aspen Laddd started training in BJJ, kickboxing wrestling and boxing before her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of each fight. Then, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. The loss put a mark on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss through defeat of Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to get her first professional fight. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen was dominant McGill by wrestling her to the ground and eventually defeated her in the third round by TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 in the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to outclass Hoy. She won via TKO in the second-round. Invicta FC21 was her final event for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, taking on Lina Langsberg. She defeated Lina via a fight that was a foot and pound advantage in 2nd round. She remained dominant and picked up a more impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and was awarded a prize for her performance on the night. Her first fight of note came when she fought her second opponent at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. They fought in one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded each the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
